On Thursday 17 October 2019 the Female High Institute for Tourism and Hospitality was opened. It is the first female hotel training institute in the Kingdom, and it is one of the strategic partnership institutes between General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training and Abdul Mohsen Al-Hokair Holding Group.
The ceremony has permeated by a speech of His Excellency Governor of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training Dr. Ahmad Bin Fahd Al-Fehaid, who emphasized that it was only the beginning to support educational initiatives that fit the Kingdom’s renaissance through developing the skills.
The Director-General of the Human Resources Development Fund, Dr. Mohamed Bin Ahmed Al Sudairi, expressed how proud he is with the male and female affiliated with the Institute and described them as the future and they are the best investment for development.
His Excellency Swiss Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, André Schaler, expressed his support for the establishment the Institute, stressing his enthusiasm for this partnership between the Swiss University for Tourism and Hospitality and the Female Higher Institute for Tourism and Hospitality
The institute aims to be a main center in achieving the Kingdom 2030 vision that supports Saudi women’s work and the delegation of the shelter sector, which is considered as one of the most important future sectors inside the kingdom with qualified cadres.
The Institute prepares women cadres in many fields in tourism, hotels and event management, which were accredited by the Swiss University of HTMI, including:
– Hotel Management Diploma.
– Tourism Administration Diploma.
– Restaurant Management Diploma.
– Conference and Event Management Diploma.
– Marketing and Sales Administration Diploma and a range of specialized courses in this field.
At the end of the ceremony, the institute signed a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding with a group of local and international companies working in tourism and hotels to train and assign women’s jobs to these companies, after obtaining educational and practical qualifications in the institute’s laboratories equipped, according to the international hotel training standards and giving them the opportunity to work, develop and self-reliant, and from these companies:

Also, a memorandum of understanding has been signed with the charitable foundation for the care of orphans – Ekha’a to train and recruit the company’s subscribers for those international companies, and it is worth mentioning that the institute has got the membership of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and the membership of the International Federation of Hotel Universities (UERHODIP).
