Fashion Design Diploma

General Description

This Fashion Design Program focusses on the creative professionalism to train and take fashion trainees from concept to consumer. It is structured to teach trainees an awareness of both fashion items and the industry by encouraging them to observe fashion growing market. They will learn about fabrics, patterns, and the basic equipment they will need for garment construction. By the end of this course, graduates are entitled to a Diploma in Fashion Design.

General Objective

To build skills in traditional and computer-generated design and pattern-making as trainees begin to shape their future. It’s a hands-on education designed to help them work through design challenges drawn from the real world.

Introduction to Fashion Design

General Description

This technical and practical fashion design course will immerse trainees in the world of the fashion designer and will help them understand how they undertake the fashion design process. It will introduce them to the principles of fashion design and fashion drawing and show them how to develop their ideas from extensive research.

General Objective

The Certificate in an Introduction to fashion design will apply trainee designer’s primary objective is to design clothing that will sell, and designs may undergo multiple revisions before a designer settles on a final design.

Pattern Making for Fashion Design

This technical and practical course shows trainee how to turn their ideas for fashion into 3-dimensional reality – and will inspire them to create design ideas and professional techniques, it’s a wide-ranging course covering the basics as well as in-depth detail about all manner of pattern making for beginners, this practical and inspirational course is perfect for anyone wishing to take their first steps towards a professional career in fashion design.

General Objective

To prepare skilled graduates in “Pattern making” for the garment sector, so that they can enter in apparel field with the level of competencies, well equipped with the job knowledge techniques and precision in performance.

Detailed Objective

  • Provision of basic Pattern Drafting skills.
  • Knowledge of basic information about pattern making essential/latest tools and equipments.
  • Provide knowledge of enhancement methods.
  • Production of multi-skilled patterns cutting and sewing handling operation.
  • Knowledge of sewing machines, over-lock, zig-zag or plain lock stitch sewing machine.
  • Knowledge of fabric composition, work specification, sequence of operations, safety precautions for cutting fabric and other reference materials.
  • Knowledge required to select and embellish material in line with design.
  • Knowledge of different stitches, patterns and designs, able to techniques to handle any damage to fabric.
  • Knowledge to finish products/garments or other associated articles.
